We are pleased to announce an important firmware upgrade for the Zemismart ZML3 Matter Light Controller, bringing enhanced power recovery behavior after a power outage.
Previous Behavior
In earlier firmware versions, the ZML3 could remember:
- Light brightness level
- Light color temperature or color settings
However, after a power interruption, the device would always power on automatically when electricity was restored, regardless of whether the light had been turned on or off before the outage.
Example
Before the upgrade:
- Light ON → Power outage → Power restored → Light ON ✅
- Light OFF → Power outage → Power restored → Light ON ❌
This behavior was suitable for some applications but could be inconvenient for users who prefer lights to remain off after power restoration.
New Firmware Upgrade
After upgrading the ZML3 through the Zemismart App, the device can now fully remember its previous state before power loss.
The controller will restore:
- ON/OFF status
- Brightness level
- Color temperature
- Color settings
Example
After the upgrade:
- Light ON → Power outage → Power restored → Light ON ✅
- Light OFF → Power outage → Power restored → Light OFF ✅
This creates a more predictable and user-friendly smart lighting experience.
